Now Accepting Applications for 2012-20131. Tour / ObservationBefore enrolling any child at Children's Meeting House, we want to make sure that it is a good fit for the student, for his or her family, and for the school. For this reason we require families who are considering enrolling a child for the first time to tour our school. To do so, please call the CMH office at 513-683-4757 to schedule a date. When you come for your tour, we will provide additional information and all necessary application forms. Similarly we require that parents of children already enrolled who are considering moving up to the next program within CMH observe in a class at the level to which their child will be transitioning. Please call the school and arrange to do this before completing enrollment. 2. New StudentsChildren's Meeting House has a Priority Enrollment policy, which states that current students and their siblings are given first priority for enrollment in early February. Remaining openings are offered to new families when Priority Enrollment closes. Students with special needs will be considered on an individual basis. For a new child to apply for enrollment, submit a New Student Enrollment Application (pdf), the non-refundable application fee of $150.00 per child, and an Enrollment Form (pdf) to indicate the Tuition Payment Plan you elect for each child. 3. Classroom VisitsFor Elementary students a classroom visit is required as part of the enrollment process. After we receive your New Student Enrollment Application has been received, we will contact you to schedule a classroom visit for your child. Elementary age children spend two consecutive days in their prospective classroom, during the regular school day hours. (Classroom visits are not required for applicants to the Pre-Primary program.) 4. Tuition Contract and DepositAfter we notify you of your child(ren)'s acceptance, we will send you a Tuition Contract, which you will need to sign and return with a non-refundable enrollment deposit of 10% of the annual tuition per child. Upon receipt of your signed Tuition Contract and enrollment deposit, we will guarantee the placement of your child(ren). 5. Enrollment Forms and School Supply ListsAfter we receive your signed Tuition Contract and enrollment deposit, we will provide you with a password (usually in May or June) to access the "Parent's LOG IN" section of our website. Here you will be able to access your annual enrollment forms (physical examination forms, release forms, etc.), school supply lists, and other important information. 6. Provisional AcceptanceNew children are defined as those entering a program, (Pre-Primary Half Day, Pre-Primary Half Day plus More Montessori, Pre-Primary All Day, Junior Elementary, or Senior Elementary) for the first time. This applies whether the child is moving from one program to the next within CMH or is entering our school from another environment. All new children are accepted provisionally (for six weeks) pending a decision by the classroom teachers regarding the ability of the child to have a successful experience and the ability of the teachers to meet the needs of the child. The Board of Trustees supports the teachers as the appropriate persons within our structure to make this decision with the parents of the child. Non-Discriminatory PolicyChildren's Meeting House Montessori School admits students of any race, color, religion, and national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national or ethnic origin in administration of policies, scholarship and loan programs, or athletic and other school-administered programs. |
